Welcome to our site!
Mac-Cosmos is a website dedicated to preservation and the classic Mac user providing a variety of FREE Mac abandonware and/or orphaned works programs and custom Virtual Machine packages (Members only

The abandonware applications can run in a variety of ways including the original model of Macintosh they were designed for and/or using emulators such as UTM, Sheepshaver, Mini vMac, Basilisk II & more. We carefully evaluate, test & organize the programs to install as they did on the original machines. Using .dsk images as floppy equivalents, .iso as CD equivalents, we even provide an instruction video for each app showing installation to make the process fast and easy. Our custom Virtual Machine packages come in a variety of flavors, we have Mini vMac VM’s, Sheepshaver VM’s and UTM Virtual machines which come LOADED with all of the popular abandonware apps already installed. Our OS9 Launcher program is in it’s 10th year of development first started in 2015 it has grown to include nearly 300 applications, special features and customizations. Everything meticulously organized and tested over countless hours of work. installer files provided by the software manufacturers.
However, some applications were discovered in
their already installed form and therefore provided as such.
A
little Mac History The
Apple Macintosh was one of the first consumer computers to have
a GUI (Graphical User Interface) which allowed
for the use of software unlike anything previous
released. The Apple Macintosh was also one the first computers
to introduce a mouse to the consumer market! Users were amazed they could
point and click where they wanted to go on the
screen!
